About Us

SMInTorNet Design was founded during 2006 by a couple of web designers who kept getting asked to do "small" projects as favours for various friends, acquaintances or businesses.

Between us, we have more than 20 years experience in the field of web and graphic design, and various other IT, business and project management skills. We can work on our own initiative, we can work under pressure and we can also work to and meet deadlines.

Although our company is small, we pride ourselves on customer service as we feel "word of mouth" referrals is one of the best recommendations you can have. Every site we build, or graphic we design, or IT problem we solve turns a friend or a customer into an advocate for our services.

Don JohnstoneProjects big or small, we will consider them all .... Whether you want a single page of hand-coded html, a dynamic content management system with all the bells and whistles, or something in-between, we can deliver. Due to extensive involvement within the IT community on two different continents we have a large and varied contact list that allows us to contract freelance programmers, coders, or other experts for specific projects. This helps keep overheads down for everybody as your project is not funding someone else's pay packet unless they are needed for your project. And most importantly - we know our limitations !!! If your project happens to be too big or too complicated for us, or we do not have contacts with the relevant skills for your project we will tell you this at the start so that no-one wastes time, money and effort on a project that will not meet our exacting standards of service.

Finally - just a little trivia about our company name. A few people have thought it was a spelling mistake we made and had to live with when registering our domain name but it is not ..... it is actually based on the location of our company's founders and the nature of our business. One (Don) is based in INverness, Scotland and the other (Scott) is in TORonto, Canada and as the business is entirely InterNET based we came up with the name INTORNET Design. The final element was the meshing of the Scottish Thistle and the Canadian Maple Leaf as our trademark logo.
